Omega Psi Phi Fraternity


The Tau Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. located in the Counties of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s, announces the topic and guidelines for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
2015 – 2016 National High School Essay Contest. This contest is conducted on an annual basis in conjunction with our National Achievement Week Observance.  All college-bound high school seniors are eligible.

Tau Lambda Lambda Chapter will select a winner from the pool received by the deadline date indicated below to receive the $250.00 prize amount. The winner will have their essay forwarded to the District to compete in the regional contest. The winning District essay there will then be forwarded on to compete within the National contest.

Tau Lambda Lambda requests that each student submitting an essay ensure they are postmarked no later than midnight, October 20, 2017 and mailed to the following address:

For getting this scholarship, you need to have acceptance/consent from professor that he/she is ready to accept you for supervision in PhD, PhD exchange or in Medical and dental field and also to get university admission letter/ conditional letter. Now, since two years, we are checking that when we post this scholarship in given dates as they are announced (from August to September). The Pakistanis have failed to get acceptance. As most of the Swiss professors said that either they have already filled their labs, or no positions at all or most of the times students are not fulfilling the university requirements, so professor reject them immediately.

Also, It is not easy to get acceptance from professor there, as you need to have very good profile and emails, CV needed to contact the professor, so that he/she gets impressed to take you as his/her PhD student. As Switzerland is one of the richest and beautiful places in the world. So, you have to make your level and attitude, aptitude much high before contacting professors there.
Also, university admission deadlines for every university vary.

Fill the scholarship application form obtained from the embassy and send with the following documents:
A full curriculum vitae with a list of academic publications, transcripts/Degrees, acceptance letter, letter of motivation (max. 2 pages), research proposal (max. 5 pages, use only the official form),short CV of your academic host supervisor, short CV of your actual academic contact person/mentor if possible, two letters of recommendation from professors in the applicant’s field (use only the official reference form provided with the application package from embassy), health certificate, passport. You will need to send via post 3 complete set to the local Swiss Embassy in your country.

San Qin International Student Scholarship of Shaanxi Province


Founded in 1944, Shaanxi Normal University is a top-tier comprehensive teachers’ university directly administered by the Ministry of Education and under the key construction of the state’s “211” Project. Presently, it has 21 schools and departments, 2 basic courses teaching departments, 65 undergraduate majors, 159 master’s degree specializations, 69 doctoral specializations and 18 post-doctoral mobile research stations. The university has competitive advantages in areas of Chinese Language and Literature, History and Cultural Studies, Business Administration, International Trade, Education and Psychology, Bio-engineering.

Requirements:
  • Applicants should be a non-Chinese citizen and holds valid passport issued by a foreign country. 
  • Applicants must be a registered degree program student who has already finished one academic year study in Shaanxi Normal University.
  • Applicants must have a favorable performance at school without any record of violating any laws of China or regulations in school.
  • Applicants should have a good performance on the exams and provide Chinese HSK certificate. The exam grades of the current academic year should at least be above the B level

Doctoral Program Scholarship at Kochi University of Technology in Japan



Kochi University of Technology (KUT), established in 1997, was originally a private university. Founded by the Kochi prefectural government, KUT ambitiously set its sights in becoming a world class university through the pursuit of unique excellence. KUT's revolutionary design, introducing innovations never before seen in universities in Japan, contributed greatly to development in university education. Despite its relatively small scale, KUT has had a strong presence with its distinctive character and progressive education system. Notably, KUT took the lead in adopting a quarter system to enable intensive learning. Valuing student autonomy, KUT has no compulsory courses.

Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Post-graduate Scholarship

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) and the ASEAN Foundation (AF) have entered into an agreement to develop highly qualified human resources in the area of science and technology within ASEAN Member States through the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute – ASEAN Foundation Post-graduate Scholarship Programme in Science and Technology (Phase 2: 2016 – 2022). 
The CGI is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institute established in 2005, under the initiative of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol. The aim of the CGI is to employ the most recent interactive teaching techniques used in world leading educational and research institutions to produce effective thinkers and leaders in their field of expertise to better serve their countries’ needs towards sustainable development. The CGI is presently offering programmes leading to Master’s degree in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Biology. 
The ASEAN Foundation is an organisation from and for the people of ASEAN. Three decades after ASEAN was established, the ASEAN Leaders recognised that there remained inadequate shared prosperity, ASEAN awareness, and contact among the people of ASEAN. It was of this concern that the ASEAN Leaders established the ASEAN Foundation during the ASEAN’s 30th Anniversary Commemorative Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 15 December 1997. The ASEAN Foundation exists because of one vision: to build a cohesive and prosperous ASEAN Community. As an ASEAN’s body, the ASEAN Foundation is tasked to support ASEAN mainly in promoting awareness, identity, interaction, and development of the people of ASEAN. 
This year, eight (8) scholarships are available for ASEAN nationals (except Thai citizen) who are interested to pursue a Master Degree at the CGI. Selection of successful applicants will be based on merit.

Requirements:
Scholarships are open to bonafide ASEAN nationals (except Thai citizen) who meet the following qualifications:
  • Under 30 years of age
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 in one of the following fields Sciences, Medical Sciences, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Applicants from other related fields are also welcome to apply.
  • Have one year experience in scientific laboratory research
  • Applicants must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably on one of two recognised tests of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS)
  • Must provide a statement of purpose explaining their interests in the study

Scholarship Coverage:
The scholarship will cover tuition and other academic fees (credit fee, laboratory expenses, refresher course, enrollment fee, thesis fee, production of thesis documents), round trip airfare, visa fee, first settlement allowance, relocation allowance, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance, and others .
