This is a comprehensive list of all the full-tuition scholarships in USA for international undergraduate students.

Some scholarships included in this list award more than tuition, and some offer fully funded scholarships to international students. I have made sure that all the scholarships listed here are applicable to international students. One of the official scholarship pages will state somewhere that the scholarships listed are available for international students. If the website did not clearly state that the scholarship is available to international students, I have not included in this list.

I have separate this scholarships by state, so it would be easier to navigate through. If the scholarship has a minimum requirement, I have included it below the name of the scholarship. Also, if there were any determining factors such as leadership or community service, I have included it.

You should note that these full tuition scholarships in USA are competitive, meaning that you may or may not get the scholarship even though you meet the minimum requirements. You need to be well above the minimum requirements or have special extracurricular activities to be actually competitive for these scholarships.

Also, some scholarships are very competitive like Washington and Lee’s Johnson scholarship, while some are not as competitive like University of Alabama’s Presidential Scholarship. You should keep in mind that the level of difficulty in getting a scholarship is different for each scholarship.

Since this list of full tuition scholarships is very large, it would be foolish to apply to all of them. However, you should research each college to see which would be the best for you and apply accordingly. Also, make sure that you apply to safety colleges and colleges in your own country in case these scholarships do not work for you.

DAAD research grants provide young foreign academics and scientists with an opportunity to carry out research and continue their education in Germany. There are funding programs for various qualification phases and stages in a career. The grants also promote the exchange of experience and networking amongst colleagues.

The aim of this grant program is to support doctoral projects in Germany.

Who can apply?

Excellently-qualified young academics and scientists who have completed a Master's degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases a Bachelor's degree at the latest by the time they begin their grant-supported research.

What can be funded?

Doctoral programs at a state or state-recognized institution of higher education or a non-university research institute in Germany:

• Individual projects under the supervision of a university teacher or academic adviser
• Participation in a structured doctoral study program.

Duration of the funding

• A maximum of four years; the length of the grant is decided by a selection committee and depends on the project in question and the applicant's work schedule.
• Grants are initially awarded for a maximum of one year. Extensions depend on whether the selection committee considers the previous award period to have been successfully completed.
• For doctoral projects in Germany that require several years of research, research phases outside Germany can be supported if these are critical for the successful completion of the doctoral degree. Planned stays must be specified in the application in the work and time schedule and should not exceed a quarter of the anticipated total funding period.

Value of DAAD Scholarship:

1.     Depending on academic level, monthly payments of:

·        Euros 750. - For graduates,

·        Euros 1,000. - For doctoral candidates

2.     Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover

3.     Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding

4.     One-off research allowance

5.     Under certain circumstances, grant holders completing an uninterrupted stay of over 6 months may receive the following additional benefits:

·        Monthly rent subsidy

·        Monthly allowance for accompanying family members

To enable grant holders to improve their language skills in preparation for their stay in Germany, DAAD offers the following services:

·        Payment of course fees for the online language course "Deutsch-University Online (DUO)" (www.deutsch-uni.com) for six months after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter

·        If necessary: Language course (2, 4 or 6 months) before the start of the research stay; the DAAD decides whether to fund the grant holder's participation and for how long depending on language skills and project. If a language course scholarship is granted and the working language at the host institute is German, participation is compulsory.

·        Allowance for a personally chosen German language course during the grant period

·        Reimbursement of the fees for the TestDaF test which has either been taken in the home country after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter or in Germany before the end of the funding period

·        As an alternative to the TestDaF for scholarship holders who have taken a language course beforehand: the fee for a DSH examination taken during the scholarship period may be reimbursed.

Selection of DAAD Scholarship:

An independent selection committee consisting of specialist scientists reviews applications.
The most important selection criteria:

• A convincing and well-planned research project or course of continuing education
• Academic achievements

Additional documents that prove academic suitability or provide information about extracurricular activities will also be considered in the assessment.

Summer Courses in Germany for Foreign Students and Graduates

With its development-oriented postgraduate study programmes, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from development and newly industrialised countries. Well-trained local experts, who are networked with international partners, play an important part in the sustainable development of their countries. They are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education and health for all. The scholarships offer foreign graduates from development and newly industrialised countries from all disciplines and with at least two years' professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master's degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master's/PhD) in Germany.

Requirements:

• Applications are open to students in Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in any subject area (www.daad.de/hsk-kursliste)
• Bachelor students must have completed at least two academic years at the start of the scholarship period.
• Neither graduates holding a Master's degree nor PhD students are eligible for this programme.

Benefits:

• The courses run for at least 18 teaching days (max. 5 days/week, excluding days of arrival and departure) with a minimum of 25 hours of teaching a week.
• One-off scholarship payment of 850 euros; participants from the countries defined by the "OECD-DAC-List" (Least Developed Countries) receive a scholarship of 1,025 euros.

Hanyang University Scholarship Program for Foreign Students

Hanyang University is a private research university in South Korea. The main campus is in Seoul, and the second one, the Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan, or ERICA campus, is located in Ansan. Hanyang (한양;漢陽) derives from the former name of the capital Seoul which was used during the Chosun Dynasty. Its motto and educational philosophy is Love in Deed and Truth.
The university established the nation's first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute) in 1939 which became the founding facility of Hanyang University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in Korea.

HANYANG INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Requirements:

• International Students who have a TOPIK level certificate and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the previous semester.
• Those who are receiving other scholarships from other organizations, including GKS Scholarship, can’t apply for this scholarship.
• If you take a leave of absence afterward, you would be disqualified for scholarships.
• Extra points will be given depending on the TOPIK level.

Requirements:

• Must be an international student in Sophomore/Junior/Senior year
• Transfer Student: Those who can submit transcripts for more than 2 semester.
• Must hold minimum G.P.A. of 80 overall on a 100 scale
• Must hold G.P.A. 80 or above on a 100 scale from the previous semester
• Must hold TOPIK level 4 or above

TOPIK SCHOLARSHIP
Requirements:

• Foreign student who is currently enrolled for a degree program and obtained a TOPIK certificate after the admission.
• Student who is on a leave of absence OR student who extended his/her study in undergraduate level OR graduate student is excluded.
• Can be benefited along with other scholarships from the university

Transform Together Scholarships for International and EU Students

Transform Together Scholarships are exclusively for international and European Union (non-UK) students starting a full-time taught course in 2017/18. A half fee waiver (50% discount) is available for postgraduate courses and for each year of an undergraduate degree.
Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement. Applicants also need to describe how they will stand out from the crowd as an ambassador for Sheffield Hallam University during and after their studies.
They are now accepting scholarship applications for courses starting in January 2018.

Requirement:

• Be an international or a European Union (non-UK) fee paying student
• Postgraduate only - have achieved a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in your honours degree and must meet the English and academic entry requirements for your course.
• Undergraduate only - have achieved or exceeded the English and academic entry requirements for the course. If you are awarded an undergraduate scholarship, you must successfully complete each year of study to continue to receive the fee waiver.
• Have accepted an offer for a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University.
• Be self-funding your studies
• Be able to pay any additional fees your course may require, for example field trips

• Check you meet the scholarship eligibility criteria listed below

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Student for Master Degree

The Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) aims to contribute to cultivate future national leaders in Asian and other countries, to contribute to establish friendly relationship among various countries and to improve policy planning activities by forming a network among national leaders through deepening their understanding of Japan. The YLP is one of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Student programs.

Courses Program:

• Scholarships are awarded in the field of:
• Public Administration/Public Policy,
• Local Governance,
• Healthcare Administration,
• Business Administration
• Law.

Requirements:

• Must be nationals of countries eligible for the YLP.
• Must be, in principle, under 40 years of age, as on 2nd October, 2018 (i.e. born on or after 2 October 1977).
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized/accredited university or college, and have achieved shown excellent academic performance.
  Have at least 3 years of full-time work experience in public administration (preferably 5 years or more).
  Have a minimum TOEFL-iBT score of 79 (TOEFL-PBT score of 550), IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
  Must be in good health.
  Must acquire “College Student” (ryuugaku) visas before entering Japan. 
• Applicants who meet any or all of following conditions are not eligible. If identified after acceptance of the scholarship grantees, the applicants will be required to withdraw from the scholarship:
• If an applicant is a service member or a civilian employee registered on the active military list at the time of his/her arrival in Japan;
• Those who cannot arrive in Japan during the period designated by accepting university;
• If an applicant is, in principle, currently enrolled in a Japanese university or other type of school with the resident status of “College Student,” or will be enrolled in a Japanese university, etc. as another source or self-financed international student between the time of application for this scholarship in his/her country and the time the scholarship period is due to begin; or
• Those who will lose their status as public administrators or government officials following the time of application or before completion of the program.

SHARE Scholarship for Asean Students

ASEAN and EU have jointly designed SHARE to support ASEAN’s vision to build an ASEAN Higher Education Area, to strengthen regional cooperation, enhance the quality, competitiveness and internationalisation of ASEAN higher education institutions and students, and thereby to contribute to a people-centred ASEAN Community.  SHARE provides ASEAN with relevant experience and expertise from the European Higher Education Area, and builds on the best practices and existing platforms of the region and the ASEAN Member States. ASEAN is working with a consortium of  the British Council (leader),  DAAD, Nuffic, Campus France, ENQA and EUA between 2015 and 2018 to implement SHARE.
The European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are inviting undergraduate students in ASEAN of all disciplines to apply for the fourth batch of the SHARE scholarships to study at ASEAN or EU universities for one semester in the period December 2017 – August 2018.

Requirement:

• Candidate should have completed at least two (2) semesters at their home university
• Candidate must be a national of an ASEAN Member State (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and  Cambodia)
• Candidate should be a student of a participating university

Brief description:

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships, funded by the European Union, are exclusively awarded to students coming from both EU and non-EU countries that have been selected to attend one of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Programs at Masters or Doctorate level.

Host Institution(s):

European Universities/Institutions participating under approved Erasmus Mundus Action Joint Programs.

Field(s) of Study:

About 116 Masters Courses and 29 Joint Doctorate courses are supported by scholarships. The field(s) of study covered are: Agriculture and Veterinary, Engineering, Manufacture and Construction, Health and Welfare, Humanities and Arts, Science, Mathematics and Computing, and Social Sciences, Business and Law.

Target group:

Category A Scholarships: Nationals from another country than the European Union Member States and Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein all together.

Category B Scholarships: Nationals from the European Union Member States, or from Switzerland, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The program offers full-time scholarships and/or fellowships that cover monthly allowance, participation costs, travelling and insurance costs of the students.  Scholarship amounts can vary according to the level of studies, the duration of studies, and the scholar’s nationality (scholarships for non-EU students are higher than for EU students).
